Essential Oils for Gout. Using basil, peppermint, wintergreen, rosemary, lemon, thyme, lemongrass, grapefruit, tea tree, pine and frankincense Therapeutic essential oil together is said to reduce inflammation and pain. 2 drops each combined with 1 tablespoon of carrier oil on the affected area about every 4 hours. (I am not doctor so can only pass on what other have tried and worked for them.) Also, peppermint oil is said to reduce the pain associated with gout. Put essential oils onto painful joint area and then cover with warm-hot compress or warn rice bag is best for 2 minutes. In some individuals, lemon essential oil helps to reduce and prevent painful gout symptoms.

Supplement’s that are said to help are: Turmeric Curcumin, 1000 mg and Turmeric 800 mg. One capsule twice a daily Bromelain (500 mg 3x daily, Fish oil (1000 mg) and Nettle root (250 mg 3x daily). I get mine from Puritan Pride on line quality and good prices.
